After two years in the landscape and masonry construction field, Jamie Metcalfe realized he had found his calling. He bought a wheel barrow and truck and started his own business in 1999. Five years later, Jamie was invited to join the Better Business Bureau. Union Stone is now a long-standing member with an unblemished reputation.

As Union Stone's designer, engineer and chief shovel operator, Jamie has solved many disastrous drainage and foundation problems. Using tools both traditional and modern, Union Stone has mastered the "lost art" of shaping granite and other durable metamorphic rocks. Today, Union stone continues to beautify Maine homes with creative stone landscapes and interiors.
